REGISTER FOR AN EVENT

Please confirm team and event registration directions and information with your club.  To compete in division competitions each athlete must have an active membership with U.S. Ski & Snowboard.​  FIS registration is required for Nor-Am, National and FIS specific events, not for division events.  If an athlete needs FIS registration, it can be completed either at the time of USSA registration (add-on) or later through the FIS website.  Registration will close the day before the first event​.

ABOUT EVENTS

Division competitions typically consist of three days, including one day of practice and two days of competition

• Competition day 1 is usually a two-run singles event

• Competition day 2 is usually a morning one-run single event, followed by a duals event

• The format and number of runs in a day may change due to conditions at the discretion of the event organizers

• Helmets are mandatory, and mouth guards are strongly encouraged

• Competitors must have a Far West Bib and wear it during event practice and competition.  Bibs can be purchased at the time of registration. New bib purchases will be distributed the first morning of the event at the registration desk

• The competitor's bib number is assigned, and that number is kept for all events and subsequent years or until a new series of bibs is issued for the division

 

THE DAY OF EVENT

On the 1st day of competition, the competitor must check-in with a parent/guardian before 8:30 am. The check-in desk is attended by a volunteer from the division. Returning athletes must bring their bib to check-in and confirm their place in the run-order.

At Palisades-Tahoe, the check-in desk is located by the fireplace next to Wildflower.

At Northstar, the check-in desk is located inside the gondola building next to the over-night storage.
